Where to Learn Art Pottery
In art history, ceramics and ceramic art mean art objects such as figures, tiles, and tableware made from clay and other raw materials by the process of pottery. Decorative ceramics are sometimes called “art pottery”. The word “ceramics” comes from the Greek keramikos, meaning “pottery”. Art pottery can be highly collectible. This can be due to a person’s love of ceramics in a broad sense, a person’s attraction to a particular piece, someone developing a taste for a particular potter or manufacturer’s work, or as an investment.
The Pottery Art class will provide an opportunity for the students to hand-build clay pieces. Students will begin with the preparation of the materials for the class and will be guided step-by-step to creating their own individual masterpieces.
